I never noticed until now that the original Kenner carded version of 8-D8 shows the dark brown on the right side of the body, but the figure has it on the left side? I see they didn't correct this slight reverse negative photo.

Would of been more than happy to get the Star Tours release for retail price. Though I’m more than fine passing on it for what scalpers are charging. I refuse to contribute to the problem that kept me from getting one in the first place, scalpers.

That original Salacious should hold a higher value, as it has a Revenge of the Jedi title vs the new Return of the Jedi. Hasbro has the Jabba play set back up for sale at $90…

I've seen a few examples of the starspeeder with electronic faults... ie the screen stops working pretty quickly. I'm not sure it was even worth the $300, let alone 4 times that much!

Great video. When it comes to the StarSpeeder, be patient! There's no way Disney is going to just make 3,000 of these. That would mean they only made $900,000 on this item which would not even cover the tooling budget! This thing is going to be re-released in several different forms and probably have different ride sequences.

I'm with you on messed up comics getting 9.8's. AFA would have given them 70's and spit on them!

Yeah, he's better off to start cashing out now whether he needs the money or not, the 70's/80's vintage toy market has reached its peak and in the next 5-10 years the value and collectability for that era is going to drop, Millennials aren't going to pay the money the GenXers did, therefore the market is going to drop even more, but if you're collecting for personal interest and not for investment sake, that market will be around for a long time, besides, none of us can take it with us to Heaven ;-)

This was fascinating, amazing work! I cant believe there are actual 95 grades out there considering how bad ass tight afa graders are supposed to be...Imagine getting that grade for any of your figs let alone a white one🤸‍♀🤸🤸‍♂..I can barely get an 85 out of UKG lol

Jason is my new hero! I think the world is divided into those who HATE spreadsheets and those who LOVE them. Myself, I love a good spreadsheet and this is amazing! I would actually pay for this, so thank you Jason for all of the time you put into this and for sending it out. This might be my favorite video that you've ever done! You could probably do a multi-episode arc of videos after going through all of this great info. I think future sales are all going to reference the population as they currently do with baseball cards. Thank you!

Gotta love CGC's consistency on color strike, cover wraps, etc. 😖, but as you've said before, buy the book, not the grade. Never been a proponent of graded books, but I do understand the need. I understood that if you sent in a book to be reholdered, it would be regraded. Wondering if that is the case for the book that was sold as an apparent 9.8?

I would like to know the age of the person who bought it. As these collectors get old, collections will come to market, finding people who are interested in the products will eventually wither away.
